The first thing that comes to mind is: Why, who has been asking for something like this? This game just came out in July. It hasn’t even been out for a year yet and you’re already making a limited edition of the game? The second thing that comes to mind is that the game has just began to finally work (after four months) for players on Xbox One and now you’re releasing another version of it. How does that make sense to you from the viewpoint of the company? To me it seems like they only want one thing from fans, our money.
The limited edition of the game comes with a Dallas mask, a money bag just like the one from the game, a keychain with the Payday 2 logo on it and the game for either PS4 or Xbox One. The package will set you back about $100.
This combined with the microtransactions and the horrible reward from the Completely OVERKILL Pack makes me feel like this company isn’t even trying anymore. The funny part about this whole thing is that just last week Almir, the head guy over at OVERKILL, came out and said he was sorry for the way things have been going with the game, only to turn around a week later and release this. This company is making it clear to me that they only want people’s money and it seems like they really don’t care about what fans think or about their feedback anymore. Fans say/ask for one thing, OVERKILL does another.
Fans of the game who own it on PS4 and Xbox One have still yet to get all the DLC that has been released for the game, and trust me there is a lot. OVERKILL keeps saying “Oh, we are working on it”, it seems to me as though they have been working on microtransactions and a limited edition of the game – something no one has been asking for. It just makes no sense to me why they would think anyone would want this and why they are working on this, rather than fixing their game and the relationship with their fans.
